Westside engaged in
prayer ministry event
To spiritually prepare for Resurrection Sunday, Westside Baptist Church is engaged in a special prayer ministry event - 40 Ways in 40 Days: Praying for Spiritual Breakthrough.
Effective through April 7, the church has asked its membership to consecrate itself in prayer for spiritual breakthroughs by committing to 40 days of prayer. In addition to traditional individual prayer, the WBC Prayer Ministry Team has shared 40 different prayer possibilities that the membership can engage in each day as a corporate body.
Each member is being asked to select at least five prayer activities to engage in during the 40 days of consecrated prayer. Examples of some of the “40 Ways” or prayer activities include: Start a Top 10 Most Wanted list and pray daily for 10 persons who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, daily prayer for Senior Pastor K.W. Blake and First Lady Venita Blake, walk the perimeter of the church and pray for the church and the community, and drive to another local church and pray for that church and their pastor. All 40 prayer ways or prayer activities may be viewed at www.westsidebaptistchurch.com
This prayer event culminates with a “Prayer Saturation Session” from 10-11 a.m. April 7.
The church membership will come out and pray over each individual seat in the worship center, choir stand, Sunday morning Bible study seat, orchestra pit, and pulpit area. Prayer will be offered for the spiritual and temporal needs of each person who will sit in the 1500 plus seat worship center.
Westside Baptist Church is located at 900 Bellaire Blvd., Lewisville, TX 75067 and its senior Pastor is K. W. Blake. For more information regarding the 40 Ways in 40 Days: Praying for Spiritual Breakthrough event or the Saturation of Prayer opportunity, contact the Prayer Ministry servant leader Minister Louis Rosenthal at 214-794-3446 or luroz@tx.rr.com
