Kiwanis health fair a success

The Kiwanis Club of McKinney had its first health fair last Thursday. Lesley Young of Centennial Medical Center checks Judy Heitter’s blood pressure.
The Kiwanis Club of McKinney had its first health fair on April 24 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, three days before the Tri-Historic McKinney Triathlon.
The health fair is designed to provide health screenings, education and printed material to the public at no cost. Not only did the people that participated in the Health Fair receive free screenings and health tips, they also were able to tour the McKinney Performing Arts Center.
Pat Alexander of McKinney stated that she very happy with the health fair and to have the screenings provided at no cost to her was a real bonus. She also talked with the service providers about general health and dental care information.
