Business: Westlake Ace Hardware opens

From staff reports
Westlake Ace Hardware celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 4701 Colleyville Blvd from May 8-11, with events and in-store promotions, including the chance to win one of several pairs of suite tickets to a Texas Rangers baseball game on May 17. A block party took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10 in the Westlake Ace Hardware parking lot and included a cook-out fundraiser hosted by the Colleyville Heritage High School Band, as well as a registration to win one of two free grills. Westlake is now open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mon. through Sat., and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
The store marks Westlake Ace Hardware’s sixth location in the Metroplex. The opening of Westlake Ace Hardware will bring 23,000 square feet of new retail space to Colleyville and create 25 full-time and part-time jobs. This store will include a complete hardware mix with expanded lawn and garden section, including live plants in season, an expanded patio and barbecue section including patio furniture, an expanded pet department including dog, cat and bird feed, and an expanded service area offering window and screen repair, along with mower blade sharpening while you wait.
“Colleyville is a terrific community in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth, and we’re excited to expand our presence here,” said David Patrick, chief marketing officer for Westlake Ace Hardware. “Our employees are able to help customers find the products they need, as well as explain how to do the job right. Our store specializes in landscaping and flowers and we’re definitely looking forward to helping residents in Colleyville with their gardens this spring.”
